Itinerary description
We went for a cruise up Fire Mountain, behind the Kitimat gun range, but didn't reach the viewpoint because my friend's truck broke.
There a numerous de-activation ditches along the road so a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must, the road would be a mix of moderate to difficult. It's also very ingrown so expect your vehicle to get pinstripes.
Part way up we did see an impressive view of the Kitimat Valley and the Douglas Channel (pacific ocean) though. We'll try again another time, hopefully without any breakdowns.
