Itinerary description
A nice easy-moderate drive from Awir up to Fossil Rock, and a steep sandy descent back towards to the highway.
Drive from the white/yellow sand through to the deep red dunes.
There are countless opportunities to camp in the desert along this route, but we flagged a couple of our favourites.
A convoy with recovery gear is a MUST for this drive.
Dropping tyre pressures, and having a convoy of 3+ cars is essential for safety.
