Tour in off-road vehicle from Sakardu to Askole to approach the beginning of the interesting and demanding Baltoro Glacier Trek, in the heart of the Pakistani Karakorum. Some sections of the track are in a regular state (in the area closest to Askole, on the mighty Braldu River, which comes from the waters that the glacier pours). Here is some very just step on the precipices that fall on the river. If above (as was our case) the terrain is wet with rain, the adhesion of the tires is very fair and can be really exciting. The route however is quite attractive landscape and is a good introduction of the landscape that awaits us in the lower part of the trekking.
The section between Skardu and Shigar (and even to the village of Alchor) is quite good pavement (asphalt in general) compared to what awaits us after the meal ....
