First part to paved road requires 4WD and sufficient ground clearance through very deep loose sand (average 17km/h), then paved road to Divundu and last piece of gravel to lodge.
From Khaudum camp it is a relatively short distance to the park exit. Then more than 50 km through loose sand, a winding road with here and there a tree on the road that you can drive around. Last stretch past a few settlements before you reach the paved road and can re-inflate the tires.
