Trail photos
Start past some game reserves and then up via Swartberg pass to the start of a beautiful 4x4 route through the Gamkaskloof Die Hell.
Defied several passes including the steepest and last the "Elandpass".
Less than 4 hours from start to finish from the Gamkaskloof and Die Hell to Boplaas campsite.
Due to the blowdown of the Gamkaskloofdam, we quickly drove back through the river when we heard that the blowdown had started (and indeed the water was already a bit higher)
Finally parked our Landcruiser Camper at the restaurant.
Super nice route - recommended even if it is "back and forth" driving!
Beautiful views and beautiful flora along the way and seen a lot of wildlife.
Depending on weather conditions, fog, rain, mud or not, this route can be difficult and dangerous!
