Itinerary description
The most technically difficult section of 4wd'ing that I encountered during a weekend being driven around by a friend in his lifted Landcruiser. The loop included quite a bit of up and down hill, some amazing views of Lake Wartook & the North Western side of the Grampians. At points on the heavily waypointed section, I got out and walked ahead, faster than the vehicles could get up the hill. The Ford Ranger in our party needed big rocks cleared from the road, in order to pass without repeated hits to the bottom.
Even the lifted Landcruiser bottomed out a few times.
Police have had to rescue people from this track; so approach it with caution and experience.
