Itinerary description
The Mtentu Lodge is only approachable by 4WD cars with high clearance. At least, this is what they recommend in the website. The reference starting point of this route is the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino in Bizana, as it is easy to find and known by everybody in the area.
Take the R61 direction Lusikisiki and drive for around 18km, then turn left. This is where the gravel road starts. The road is not too bad. Only the last 10Km are really challenging for a normal car. Bear in mind that the last 50km will take you over 2 hours’ time.

Trench 1
There are two deep trenched with sharp edges across the road that can damage your tires at high speed. Be careful there. Nobody knows when those will be fixed. They are close to each other.
