Itinerary description
Basho valley is a scenic and unique tourist spot in Baltistan.
We hired jeep for Rs 21,700 for 7 person.
I think if time was managed properly by our tour operator we might have done it in cheaper. As most of the travel was from Skardu to Basho bridge on carpet road which could have been avoided had we travelled there on our coach.
Anyways, You cross the suspension bridge and pass Basho village on a vertical ride to reach the meadow.
It's a rare sight for Baltistan or as the valley is full of Pine trees. Due to which it offered a lot of greenery. Water stream from glacier makes several ways through the meadow valley is surrounded by pine forest especially on it's left side.
There are many hotels which offer you tea, snacks and full meal of your choice.
It does give you an idea as if you are in Swat. Everyone in group loved the place which was very different than the yellow hues only a few meters down the road.
Valley's pass takes you to Deosai, Astore and Kachura as per one of the guy there.
