Itinerary description
Baku ears have two peaks: Takhtalig and Karkas.
However, it is often called either Baku Gulags or Karkas Mountain.
The southern elevation is called Takhtaliq and has a height of 412 (384) meters.
The northern elevation is called Kerkas and has a height of 424 (396) meters.
Since Baku Gulag is one of the highest peaks of the Absheron Peninsula, it looks like a natural lighthouse visible from all parts of the area.
Vegetation of the area consists of mulberry bush, multi-fruited juniper, sedum, thyme, bunch-flowered rabbit's sedge, gorse and other plants.

The fauna of the area consists of rabbits, foxes, lizards, warblers, shepherds and other animals.
