Along the way you can see black mountains in the distance. Very little vegetation.
Station 6 has many ruins and a small mining village. The railroad stopped operating in 87. The masonry houses with the cone-shaped roof are present in all the stations and served as rooms. Now I am in a state of neglect and the miners nearby live in cardboard and jute huts.
Towards Fort Murrat the terrain is less sandy, you cross areas with black (volcanic?) Rocks
Fort Murrat: a dozen dilapidated dry buildings. Climbed to a hill for a few photos. Just over 2 rocks carved with cows, horses and perhaps deer.
Stop for lunch in the shade of an almost imposing acacia.
The ground is invaded by courgettes: when they are tied to the branch they are green, heavy, saturated with seeds and have a clear and spongy texture; when the branch dries, the pumpkin detaches, dries and becomes light, only the seeds remain inside. It is not edible.
The red dune is massive, not very high.
The track always runs in a wide valley surrounded by low mountains. At times there is vegetation consisting of zucchini, low bushes, some acacia and even some palm trees.
The bottom of the track is very dusty, sometimes sandy.
Campo wadi Dom huge black rocks hovering over each other
