questa traccia è stata fatta in 2 giorni, siamo stati a sud/est della georgia per andare a visitare il deserto di Vashlovani, un posto incredibile nella zona più ad est della georgia. la prima parte è stradale e si attraversa una zono dove sono concentrate tra le vigne più famose , poi arrivando a Sud si entra nel parco naturale di Vashlovani. Il parco confina con l'Azerbaijan, per cui prima di entrare nel parco occorre chiedere un permesso all'ufficio dei ranger. E' a pagamento, ma costa poco, senza potrebbero non farvi entrare, anche se in realtà non esiste una vera e propria entrata con posto di controllo, però all'interno ci sono i ranger. il permesso di accesso al parco va fatto molto prima di arrivare al parco, in paese, ecco le coordinate dell'ufficio 41°27'46.2"N 46°06'12.8"E (Administration of Vashlovani Protected Areas).
una volta dentro si può fare un percorso ad anello, noi lo abbiamo interrotto e siamo dovuti entrare da un altro versante. posto molto bello, serve un 4x4 alto. da alcune sommita si vede l'Azerbaijan.
Abbiamo bivaccato all'interno della postazione dei ranger, molto gentili ed ospitali.
Il giorno dopo siamo andati a visitare la riserva di Chachuna, dove si arriva dopo una pista piena di buche ma tutto sommato non difficile. Abbiamo bivaccato sulla riva del lago, molto tranquillo, abbiamo goduto di un tramonto da favola.

this track was done in 2 days, we were south/east of georgia to go and visit Vashlovani desert, amazing place in the far east of georgia. the first part is road and you cross an area where the most famous vineyards are concentrated, then arriving south you enter the natural park of Vashlovani. The park borders on Azerbaijan, so before entering the park, you need to ask for a permit from the ranger office. It's a fee, but it's cheap, without it they might not let you in, even if in reality there isn't a real entrance with a checkpoint, but the rangers are inside. the park access permit must be obtained long before arriving at the park, in the village, here are the coordinates of the office 41°27'46.2"N 46°06'12.8"E (Administration of Vashlovani Protected Areas).
once inside you can make a circular route, we interrupted it and had to enter from another side. very nice place, need a high 4x4. from some peaks you can see Azerbaijan.
We bivouacked inside the ranger station, very kind and hospitable.
The next day we went to visit the Chachuna reserve, where you arrive after a track full of holes but all in all not difficult. We bivouacked on the shore of the lake, very peaceful, we enjoyed a fabulous sunset.
