I did this on my Yamaha XT600 with my friend on his Africa Twin. There was only one part we were unable to do and that was just after the Village of Almograve when the trail starts along the waters edge. At the end of that trail is a steep hill climb in very soft sand up over the dunes. Lighter weight bikes it would be possible. To bypass this just head back into the Village and turn right at the roundabout and it will bring you back to the route.
Also gets a little tricky as you get close to Aljezur with soft sand but passable with bigger bikes.
