LONDON ZWIFT -STRAVA TRAINING: [X03 / 06/2020]
- During these days of end of the confinement, today we have returned to make a virtual route, with the Zwift and Strava applications, which make exercise on treadmill or exercise bike more enjoyable.
- In this case we take advantage of a training on treadmill, opting to take a virtual walk through London, and do from home the real circuit that coincides with the London Classic Race.
- To make it funny we have been doing short runs for a while, combining them with a walk time, a "brisk walk" time, a jogging time, a race time changing pace (HIIT interval training), that is, a combined test , ...
- Training is thus made more enjoyable, simulating a circuit with runners, cyclists, walkers, ... going through exceptional landscapes thanks to virtual reality, advances in sports technology. A few months ago I did not see myself playing with "e-sports", and now, without wanting to enter the competition, I am seeing something that bears some similarity to the reviled "e-sports".
- Zwift has five circuit zones: Watopia, New York, London, Richmond and Innbruck, the last two being real circuits.
LONDON CLASSIC RACE
- It is a circuit incorporated since 2016 in the Zwift route catalog, with 13 different routes, with the theme of "Prudential Ride London", a famous Cycling Festival, the largest in the world. We chose the classic with 5.5 km, with a lot of flatness.
- This time we did a one hour route, and almost 9 km.
- Zwift's programmers freely designed the tour they call the London Classic. The route exists in reality, it has its profile on screen (virtual reality), being able to register in the Strava application, with images reminiscent of those of a video game.
TREADMILL TRAINING
- The experience was not bad, something is something, less gives a stone, ...
- The result: together we covered about 10 km in just over an hour, "we sweat the fat", and the satisfaction that we were moving with what we had rewarded us.
Health and wellness during confinement COVID-19
- BACK TO REALITY: These training routines have personal value as a reminder of what we went through during this serious crisis. They also involve a foray into knowing the sophisticated technology applied to sport in situations like this and many more.
