Itinerary description

Zafar Peak - According to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 3, 2020, on the occasion of the liberation of our occupied lands as a result of the 44-day military operations of the glorious Azerbaijan Army, November 8 was established as "Victory Day" in the Republic of Azerbaijan. On this occasion, the necessary permits were obtained to give the name "Victory Peak" to the nameless height of 4301m east of Bazarduzu Peak, and "Victory is Azerbaijan!" expedition was organized.

Bazarduzu Peak - Bazarduzu Peak is a mountain in the Main Caucasus Range, on the border of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Dagestan. Its highest peak is 4466 meters. It is the highest peak of Azerbaijan.
It is located in the Main Caucasus range of the Greater Caucasus mountains, on the border with the Russian Federation, in the territory of Gusar region. It is the southernmost point of the Russian Federation. It consists of three peaks. Turyan and Gusar rivers start from here. The mountain got its name from the name of the plain called Bazardüzü, which is located at its foot and is located in the Shahnabadchay valley, which was a pastureland for cattle ranchers in the past. It is considered an ethnotoponym.
