Hiking and climbing tour from Valbona via Kukaj to the Jezerca. Expired July 29, 2014. Travel time: Approximately 10 hours with normal fitness.
In summer, Kukaj has the last opportunity to replenish water supplies. Otherwise, you can find even in summer from about 2.000m altitude snow fields.
The trail is not marked shortly after Kukaj. Particularly difficult to find are the paths in the forest and on the ridge between about 1,600m and 2,000m altitude. The danger of bleeding is great.
In some cases, GPS log data was missing in sections. The Poisition marks recorded on the tour are always 'Position x'. Different brands were maintained, since the GPS had no reception. For the way no climbing equipment is needed. Nevertheless, a rope for safety or rappelling should be carried along for safety's sake. An approximately 50-meter-long passage leads over an icy snowfield with steep Gefaelle. An alternative to this passage is not known (photo see Wpt_1406635073620.jpg). For cruising this passage crampons should be carried along.
Length about 9,200 meters
Gradient about 2,100 meters
Gefaelle about 360 meters
Note: The filenames of the photos are the same as the names of the recording positions in the GPX file.
Note: A postprocessed GPX file is available for download at http://www.almsick.com/bergwandern-klettern/jezerca.html
