Itinerary description
The 5895 metre Parofes Volcano was first climbed in 2015. At that time it was the highest mountain in the Andes with no ascents.
Access is through the Mar del Plata camp, which is the base of Pissis.
From there the route is totally different, taking a different route in a remote and wild region.
