Itinerary description
Absolutely spectacular, amazing and overwhelming route which goes directly to the summit of Traunstein mountain (+1691m.)
The way up and down is ably equipped with all kind of stuff to make easier the progression trought the most steepy points (steel cable lines, steps...).
On the top of the mountain you can find a couple of huts: Gmundner Hütte, Tranunsteinhaus and the Traunstein Cross.
Take care if you are not used to walk by really sloping and rocky tracks.
Could be recomendable to wear some kind of soft globes because of the steel cable.
The approaching from Gmunden until the beginning of the ascent was made by bike. It's possible to do it by car, It exist a car park there.
Look at the Way point called "Jonction". There you can try to make the Via Ferrata until Gmundner Hütte if you wear the safety materials.
