Itinerary description
Þverártindsegg hike is a wonderful alpine hike with a final peak climb. Since a snow covered glacier needs to be crossed crampons, helmet, harness and rope + team are a good safety precaution. Some falling rocks might be possible in the last part. The rewarding view over vatnajökull and down until the sea are worth the approach and climb.
