Itinerary description
This is a non official DOC track.
We have to follow the Red Tarns track (an official DOC track), from the public shelter on Bowen Drive to the Red Tarns, it's steep with many steps. Once in Red Tarns, we look for a little path that continues going up to a flat area; in this area we have nice views from both valleys of Mt. Cook NP and little tarns.
For going down, we can take the same path or go through the rocky slope (taking care).
Weather can change rapidly in this area!
