Itinerary description

The San Pedro and San Pablo volcanoes are two very close volcanoes that dominate the skyline of the city of Calama in northern Chile.
They are two 6,000 metre mountains of low technical difficulty and require good acclimatisation beforehand.
Because they are close mountains, it is possible to climb both summits in a single day, which is what we did in this traklog.
On the first day you approach by car to the place marked as Leave Car and from there start approaching the high camp, which is on a plateau between both summits.
Attention! There is no running water in this camp, so it is necessary to melt Penitentes or bring water from the city!
Otherwise just follow the traklog. Happy climbing!
