Itinerary description

Percorso: da Rocca di Cambio, si percorre la ss 5 bis. 500mt prima di San Martino, si parcheggia, e si segue una sterrata sulla sx. Si arriva ad una fonte e al rifugio Malequagliata (1.370 m), con magnifica vista della parete nord Ocre-Cagno. Difficile arrivare in auto fino a qui. Dal fontanile dietro il rifugio ci si dirige verso l’imbocco del canale Malequagliata. Si sale fino 2.150 m circa su pendenze contenute (35/40°, infine 45°). Percorso di cresta fino alla vetta dell’Ocre (2.208 m). Discesa dal canale Direttissima, che inizia sotto la croce, con un muretto a 55°, poi 45°, il resto intorno ai 40°. Arrivati alla base, ritorno per via simile, ma senza passare dal rifugio.
Livello: Alpinistico PD (PD- se si evita di scendere dal muretto della Direttissima)
Periodo: Febbraio
Attrezzatura: ramponi, casco, 2 piccozze, una corda per assicurarsi (non usata)
Route: from Rocca di Cambio, take the ss 5 bis. 500mt before San Martino, park and follow a dirt road on the left. You arrive at a spring and the Malequagliata refuge (1,370 m), with a magnificent view of the Ocre-Cagno north face. Difficult to drive up to here. From the fountain behind the refuge, head towards the entrance to the Malequagliata canal. Climb up to about 2,150 m on moderate slopes (35/40°, finally 45°). Ridge route to the Ocre peak (2,208 m). Descent from the canal Direttissima, which begins under the cross, with a low wall at 55°, then 45°, the rest around 40°. Once at the base, I return by a similar route, but without going through the shelter.
Level: Alpinistic PD (PD- if you avoid going down the wall of the Direttissima)

Equipment: crampons, helmet, 2 ice axes, a belay rope (not used)
