Itinerary description

Day 1
From San Lorenzo in Dorsino / Ristoro Dolomiti to Rifugio Silvio Agostini.
Leaving the carpark and walking up in the wood and next to the river for few kms, part of it in a canyon, after in the wood and the path/unpaved road we reached Rifugio Cacciatore where we had a quick break before going on till Rifugio Silvio Agostini, where the surrounding landscape of the mountains is making you feel just wonderful even if at the end was 10 km with 1500 mt + from the carpark. The rifugio staff is providing very good support and service.
Day 2
From Rifugio Silvio Agostini to Rifugio Tosa-Pedrotti
The day started on a way up to a canal full of rocks of any dimensions, we reached the Vedretta d’Ambiez Glaciar and cross it for about 150/200 mt, no crampons needed for this time of the season, once crossed we started the “via ferrata Sentiero dell’Ideale” which was lasting for about 1 h 30 m. When we ended the via ferrata we had a quick break before descending a bit, before starting to climb Cima Tosa. The way up to Cima Tosa can be done without climbing equipment, after the initial exposed part, the rest is easy to go thanks to marks here and there, the top is a quite flat area, the 360 view in a clear day is amazing! For the way down we did the same path used for the way up, but the last steps needs to be done rappelling using the fixed rings seen while we were going up.
Once down we organised our equipment, we picked up our backpacks left down the wall and we kept going downhill for most of the remaining part of the day, just few steps up, not much to reach than the Rifugio Tosa Pedrotti in another amazing circus of mountains around.
Day 3
From Rifugio Tosa-Pedrotti to San Lorenzo in Dorsino
Starting the day going north to Bocca di Brenta and start the Via Ferrata Bocchette Centrali, recently renovated and re-equipped, quite exposed, allowing to see wonderful landscapes and the famous campanile! Reached “Bocca delle Armi” we left the “Via Ferrata Bocchette Centrali” to take the other one called “Felice Spellini” recently renovated too, some long ladders and then easy path to get back at Rifugio Tosa-Pedrotti, quick break and then we started the way back. We went in the huge valley pointing “Forcolotta di Noghera” and then down again passing by Rifugio Cacciatore, down agin into the wood, stopping in a Malga to get local products, on the way we found a good bunch of raspberry plants where we could get some fresh vitamins by this natural fruits. We arrived at the car quite tired, with smile and suggesting a kind of loop like this to engoy as more as possible this amazing area. 😉
