Itinerary description

Located about half-way between Hekla and Hrafntinnusker, Rauðufossafjöll is the collective name given to a cluster of four peaks. two are most easily accessible from the 4x4 track, the westernmost and the southernmost ones. This trail takes you from the track to the top of the southernmost peak (called "Suðri" by some) and back. Not a challenging hike - but the view is fantastic, especially if you have a pair of good binoculars (or a zoom lens).

For pictures taken on my hike press the title ("Rauðufossafjöll") above.
