Itinerary description
It start`s at the base camp of Itatiaia's National Park, called Reboucas, where there is water, a shelter (under reservation), tables and showers.
The way is very well marked. On 3 points there is a wall where is required climb with rope and harness. The first is the bigest one, with 4-5 meters. The second is the shorter one, with 2 meters. Expertise climbers do not use rope on this point. The last and more exposed wall is a big rock to climb until the "real" summit. It's called like this because the "false" summit is just a few centimeters lower, and easier to get there. A big crevice separates these 2 summits, where is required rope and knowledge of climbing techniques.
IMPORTANT: to entry the National Park you must pay a fee that is not more than R$20 (in 2019) per person. To camp in Rebouças you must make a advance booking on the oficial website os the park: http://www.icmbio.gov.br/parnaitatiaia/guia-do-visitante.html . At the entry, the rangers will check if you are bringing climbing equipament (rope with at least 20 meters, harness, carabiners and a descender).
