Fansipan (Vietnamese: Phan Xi Păng) is a mountain in Vietnam, the highest in Indochina (comprising Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia) at 3,143 meters (10,312 feet). It is located in the Province of Lào Cai, in the Northwest region of Vietnam, 9 km southwest of the municipality of Sa Pa in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.

Fansipan is nicknamed "the roof of Indochina" and has about 2,024 floral varieties and 327 faunistic species.

Phan Xi Păng
The topography of Fansipan is varied. The Muong Hoa Valley, at the lowest altitude (950-1000 m), is created by a narrow strip of land at the base of the east side of the mountain.
