Itinerary description
The Palpana is a large volcano in northern Chile, near the border with Bolivia in the village of Ollague.
Despite being a rather prominent and prominent mountain, it is not a very frequented mountain and the reason for this is that it has a rather long and tiring summit attack due to not having a good place to stay overnight closer to the summit.
In this tracklog is included the access to the volcano from the international road, the place where we stayed overnight, the ascent to the summit and the descent route.
We chose this route from the north face because the normal route was inaccessible after a flood.
