Itinerary description
This route is better to do it in two days. We didn't have time so we tried to get the highest we could in just a day.
We started on the Shannon Ridge Trail head early in the morning. The first part of the trail is by the woods, easy tracks. When the forest is over the trail goes by a moraine, a lot of loosing rocks until you get to the glacier.
We went late on the season, there wasn't a lot of snow and all the crevasses were open, so a lot of zig zag we needed to do. To avoid some big crevasses we needed to cross two moraines. We didn't reach to the rock pyramid, me left like 1.5km, and the big rock climbing. We returned so we could be out of the glacier before sunsets. We were on the forest trail when the night fell, but the trail was nice and easy to follow.
We did a 14.5h hike.
