Itinerary description
Mount Ararat the classic route. Camped at 3200 one night and 4200 camp one night. Climbed end of August. Above 4500m always under heavy cloud cover after 2pm. Water is ice melt, available at camp sites piped from higher ground, carry with you tablets/tang/etc. Hiked down to 2200 from the summit the same day in about 7 hours with about 1.5 hours of break. The trail is very clearly marked along the classic route (when in doubt, follow the garbage). It was a warm summer, we hit ice/packed snow at 4900m. Used crampons, did not need ice axe as there was no recent fresh snow.

We’re you acclimatised before doing this hike in 3 days only? I have an upcoming climb in the end of August too following the same timeline and was wondering if it’s doable in 3 days only.
