Ascent to Mount Meru in 4 days.
It has no technical difficulty, the difficulty lies in the altitude.
It is a very nice trekking going through different landscapes as we ascend, starting with the rain forest where we can see some types of monkeys, then we go through moorland much drier and with low vegetation and finally high alpine zone.
It is a beautiful mountain always in the shadow of Kili but no less beautiful. The shelters are very good and it was not overcrowded (at least the days we were).
You need to go with a ranger because of the presence of buffalo.
We climb to the top to see the sunrise and the truth is that the crater is very, very beautiful. There are also spectacular views of the kilimanjaro and the nights are incredibly starry.
In addition the day of descent we saw a very beautiful waterfall and as a final prize we could see buffalos and walk very close to the giraffes ... what a sensation!
Our guide Amos along with Ibra, Simón, ... they were very good with us.
We made the climb (along with the Kili and a 4 day safari) with Arunga Expeditions & Safaris and everything was perfect and at a price that with what we compared was very correct.
