Itinerary description
Christmas days, starting point in Novezzina next to the Astronomical Observatory following the beginning of the trail 657 with snow already at 1200 mt, opening the whole path till the peak without any other climber around, just few chamois jumping in the snow and 2 eagles next to the peak.
The way up following the trail through little plants/trees and the wood has been easy, when the snow started to be icy the difficulties started to come, due to sections where the snow was not icy enough to support my weight and several times half of my body was literally going below the snow level, sometimes i had no chances to change the route and the only option was to keep going to reach the visible better icy snow ahead.
Once reached the ridge on the way to the summit, the snow was compact and perfect to climb with crampons/ice axe.
For the way down i choosed to descend trough Canalone Osanna, and after a while to rejoin the path i was following for the way up.
So far a wonderful day, the difficult was due to the icy/not icy snow and because i was climbing solo.
