Itinerary description
This route is a 12 hour route that is really difficult. All the routes in the park a hard and if you are not an experienced climber with gear you should consider twice if you want to do it.(we did it without climbing gear)
We where in good condition but this was still hard trip to do.
The route:
Starts at the entrance point of the park where you will be dropped off when coming with a car. Than takes you approximately 5 km to Marumbi train station before the climb begins.
The route follows the red route to Abrolhos, Ponta de Tigre and Gigante. We did not go to Olimpo because we where running out of time. But did the descent on the white route. You cannot make the descent in the dark because of the vertical climbing you have to do. We did the part after the waterfall in the dark which was also a bit tricky.
When you finish the descent the route takes you back to the starting point. You can use a phone in Morumbi station or at the staring point to call a car to pick you up.
You can skip Abrolhos to save 60 minutes or so.
Good luck and be safe! Do not forget your headlight!
Note: something went wrong with the altitude meters 3192 up and down is to much
