Circular route through Lost Valley (one of the side valleys of the Glen Coe).
The route leaves a parking lot next to the GlenCoe main road; Go down to the river and begin to climb the Lost Valley until you reach the final part of a flat area where the river curiously appears and disappears into the ground. Then continue up the valley (steeper) until you reach a pass. Here we turn right to make the summit at the Bidean Nam Bian peak (1151 m) where the views (if you're lucky ...) are magnificent towards the two slopes. We continue descending slightly by the rope to a new hill from where we climb to make summit at Coire Nam Lochan Peak (1115 m). Once crowned we begin the descent following the cordal to a flat where we turn left searching for the base of small waterfalls that plunge down a valley through which we descend again to the parking lot.
The route has about 11 km, 1200 m of unevenness and is done in about five hours (not counting stops). He does not have any technical difficulty and physically he is very bearable if he is accustomed to set foot on the mountain. The road is clear (marks in the valley and path traces and some milestones in the rope). If the day is covered (fog) it is not very worthwhile and there may be orientation problems at the top. On a clear day, on the other hand, it is a magnificent route for both the views and the alpine environment, although the peaks only have a little over 1100 m. Enjoy it.
