Itinerary description
This is one of my favorite mountains in Iceland. It is located in the Westfjords and at 998m it is the tallest mountain in that area. This route starts in Kirkjubolsdalur but you can drive there in a decent care, the road is not suitable for small cars though. The view from the top is magnificent.
No technical climbing is involved, ice axes and crampons could be needed during the winter time.
