Itinerary description
Really beautiful and somewhat demanding route. Highly recommended if you are staying at YHA Honister Hause.
The first part up to Dale Head is exhausting. But once you are there the other climbs to Hindscarth and Robinson will not be a big deal. From up there, if the sky is clear, the views are absolutely breathtaking all the time. The valleys at both sides of the crest are so beautiful. Far beyond, the sea can be seen as well as the summit of the Scafell Pike.
At Buttermere, a bus can take you up to Honister Pass again. I think it is line 77 covering a circular route between Keswick and Buttermere. Frequency is one bus every two hours, and there are only four trips per day. So make sure you plan your walk right or you may have to walk the road up to Honister, which took me 1h 30min non-stop.
