Itinerary description
Overlooking the little fishing village of Grundarfjörður are the peaks of the Helgrindur mountains - these form part of the "spine" of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. While the north face of Helgrindur is popular with ice climbers in winter, the approach from the south is easy. Click title for pictures.

Like many of my tracks, this one exceeds the maximum number of track points supported by most GPS units (Garmin ones accept 500 per track). In this case it's probably simplest to split it into two 500-point segments - I wouldn't be surprised if chopping it at the peak does the trick! In MapSource there's a special "scissors" tool for achieving this.
