Itinerary description

The spring of 2007 saw us engaged in a campaign to conquear those Book peaks (i.e. peaks listed in the book "Icelandic Mountains - Hiking Trails to 151 Summits") which lie in the Kaldidalur area. On this beautiful day it was Hádegishnjúkur's turn. Great hike - but with some cause for concern towards the end when we found ourselves in conditions which seemed to present a danger of avalanches.
