Itinerary description
6-7 hours tour to Corno Grande, the highest point in Italy outside the Alps. Great views of Campo Imperatore (wide high plain), lake Campotosto, moutains, clouds, L'aquila, and in good days - the Adriatic sea.
Expect strong winds and temprature drop high above. Most of the trail is straight forward, the find part requires some rock scrumbling.
On the way down I stopped for coffee at one of the montain refuges on the ridge.
