Hi there! Awesome pics! Can you tell me how long it took you to get to the summit from the parking lot? I am assuming, at a steady pace, 2 hours should be good enough to get to the summit? And another one hour getting back?

    Hi ORO1,
I got there on Ecotur's guided tour , the bus dropped us at parque de los venados , from there a mini van took us up to the trail head (it was about 20 minutes drive on gravel road) , I think we started climbing around 09:30 and reached the summit by 12:30 (~3 hours ). I remember the guide told us that if we don't get to the summit by 13:00 we will start heading back , due to weather and day light limitations. I guess now the 13:00 is 14:00 (we moved to summer daylight saving ) and if you do it solo , you can advance faster than in a group.
The way down was very fast , going straight down - it was like ski sliding. I slipped many times , the walking sticks came in handy for the descent !
