Itinerary description
The easy way to ascent Castor is by Refugio Quinto Sella. We park the car in Staffal and we make the first meters with a cable car until Colle Betta. Once there, the path until the refuge is well indicated and also the last part (the difficult one) is protected with a cable and in some points stairs.
We spend the night there and the day after we make the ascent to Castor. During the path, as the last part is a really nice ridge you are passing by some other secondary tops. If the day is clear, you can have some amazing views of all the Zermatt valley.
To return, we did the same route as to ascent.
