Itinerary description
A climb up to Cadair Idris (Penygader) with the minford trail. Beneath the mountains lies the wonderful cau lake, set in a cwm - closed in an amphitheater of high walls from three sides. I hiked to the far edge of the lake, climbing with a faint steep trail (some easy scrumbling is required) to the ridge and the summit. From the ridge line two other mountain lakes are visible to the north.
