Кратка витошка разходка от с. Бистрица до Алеко. До Бистрица се стига с автобус 98 на софийския градски транспорт, който тръгва от Семинарията, минава през Хладилника, и продължава към с. Железница. От автобусната спирка в края на Бистрица до Алеко стигнахме за 2 часа и 50 минути по пътеката покрай Старата река. Има и по-кратък маршрут покрай Янчовска река, но път този е по-хубав. Алеко е класическа изходна точка към Черни връх, Платото, вр. Камен Дел. От Алеко можете да се върнете в София с лифт до Симеоново или с автобус 66 от хотел Морени до Хладилника, или с Драгалевския лифт след още 15-на минути пеш до горната му станция "Голи връх".

A short and easy walk from Bistritsa village to Aleko in Vitosha. Bistritsa can be reached by the sofia public transport (bus line 98). The line starts at the Sofia Seminary, passes through Hladilnika district and ends in Zheleznitsa village. It's 2hrs and 50 mins from the bus station at the end of Bistritsa village to Aleko on the trail by the Starata reka (Old Bistritsa river). There's a shorter trail going up along the Yanchovska river, but the longer one is that we like the most. Aleko is a well known starting point to some of the most popular destinations in Vitosha: Peak Cherni Vruh, "Platoto" area, peak Kamen Del. From Aleko you can get back to Sofia by lift (leading to Simeonovo district), by bus (line 66 from Moreni hotel to Hladinlika district of Sofia) or using the Dragalevtsi lift, whose upper station is some 15 minutes away from Aleko (on foot).

We hiked this trail Tuesday the 7th of May 2019. Because it was so early in season we came across some obstacles like ice and fallen trees, which made us have to climb parts, but also made it lovely quite. We did not see anybody else on this hike.
I think it took us about 3.5 hours from the bus to the hut. The hut was open and served us a very cheap, hot meal. We decided to take the bus down according the Google Maps schedule but after waiting for 30 min. in -2 Celsius we found out the bus only ran on weekends. Taxi back to city center was only 20 Lev.
Great hike, well marked and nice change in scenery! Would recommend!

I think it took us about 3.5 hours from the bus to the hut. The hut was open and served us a very cheap, hot meal. We decided to take the bus down according the Google Maps schedule but after waiting for 30 min. in -2 Celsius we found out the bus only ran on weekends. Taxi back to city center was only 20 Lev.
Great hike, well marked and nice change in scenery! Would recommend!
