Itinerary description
OK - so it's the "tourist route" (now renamed the "mountain trail") but then again, the great majority of those who do the Ben Nevis ascent will be following that route.
Expect big crowds - I was there in pretty foul weather and there were STILL lots of people on the mountain. Apart from the danger of blindly walking off the edge in poor visibity, not a challenging hike - the path is incredibly well maintained.
Anyone intending to climb a "Munro" should visit walkhighlands.co.uk and download a route file to program his GPS - you can get there from Google by selecting the little symbol marking each Munro (provided you have ticked the "Google Earth Community" box).
