The circular route starts from the last parking of the ski station; We cross the road and go through a well marked path that ascends slowly until we reach a slope that we continue for a good distance. We arrive to a flatter area with vegetation at the beginning that is lost until it becomes a comfortable walkway (giant anti-fog milestones) through which we continue. We descend slightly to a hill with a small lake where we start the ascent towards the summit of Ben Macdui (1309 m, milestone and stone shelters, second highest summit of Great Britain after Ben Nevis). Once crowned, descend again to the hill and here we turn right to make the circle. We faldeamos a half hour until reaching the top of a crest (avoidable) that closes a large circus (magnificent views). We go back to another hill from the beginning of the ascent to the Cairn Gorm (1240 m), we descend towards the upper funicular station (open for tourist use in summer). Here we can choose to go down using this mechanical device or continue on foot again to the parking lot between the ski piestas.
They are about 19 km, 1300 m altitude and about 5.30 h without counting stops. It does not present any technical difficulty but a lot of eye on the top with the orientation if there is fog (very flat, without references and areas of frequent losses). Very good views of the Cairgorms if you are lucky with the meteo. Enjoy it.
