Route Description:
The route consists of traversing on rolling-to-steep trails through open grass and shrubby lands, farms, pockets of woody areas and on unpaved rough roads, Trails may become very muddy when it downpours.
The highlights are: passing through the second highest peak (Osmena Peak @1,011 m AMSL) of Cebu island (highest is 1.8 kms., 25°Azimuth of Osmena Peak with an elev. of 1025 m AMSL) and the Dumalan Gorge, and following a downhill ridge trail. Good sceneries and commanding views of the far surroundings.

Hiking/Climbing Pre-conditions:
For Group/team/club (For team building and fun)
a) minimum required day is 1.5 days;
b) start early or mid-morning (rain or shine) and may continue beyond 1800 hours;
c) require camping (near Osmena Peak); and
d) may ask directions from locals.
For Solo (For setting personal record and achieving higher satisfaction)
To quantify someone's performance on this route, the following limitations are suggested:
a) minimum require time is 12 hours;
b) may not require camping;
c) start at mid-morning (rain or shine) and may continue beyond 1800 hours;
d) try to memorize the said route and minimize or refrain from asking for directions
from the locals.
Once accomplished, you may consider yourself an adventure racer ready for a none-stop, multi-day, mix discipline race, which is ADVENTURE RACING (where brain, guts, and pyscho-physical strength and endurance are the requirements).
Provisions:
For Club/group
a) Bring ID cards, money, cellphone (waterproof it), trail energy food and drinks, mp3 player and camera;
b) Wear hiking clothing (long pants and short/long sleeves shirt), trekking shoes, eyewear, cap or hat; walking poles, pocket knife, head lamp (with extra batteries), hand towel, sleeping bag, hammock and extra clothings;
c) Bring compass, map and pencil (GPS is optional);
d) Bring camping tent with ground pad and sheet, cooking stove, cook set, food, drinks, dessert (hot or cold);
e) Bring water in canteens/containers, first aid kit and personal medicines;
For Solo

d) Bring water in canteens/containers, first aid kit and personal medicines;
Remember:
a) Always leave information of your route to somebody and give instructions if overdue;
b) Be courteous, respectful, friendly and thankful; be environment friendly; and dispose of
your garbage properly; and
c) Observe privacy of lots, do not trespass and avoid stepping on plants.
