Itinerary description

Aucanquilcha is one of the easiest 6,000 meters mountains in northern Chile and the reason for this is that in the past there was a sulfur mine almost at the top of the mountain and this mining left as a legacy a road that facilitates its access.
This road, unfortunately, was interrupted a few years ago and this traklog presents an alternative to get as close to the summit as possible.
By motorcycle it is possible to continue a little further, however by car do not try to go beyond the point I mark as car parking.
Aucanquilcha is a mountain with little technical difficulty, but it needs good acclimatization.

Hi, you say that the classic track has been cut for several years. Have you tried to take it, do you know where it is cut?
If not, is the route you took to the "car park" possible with an SUV or do you need a 4x4?
    Thanks
