The route is long and lasts for the kilometers and for the climbs to be done, from the first Vodnikov refuge at 6.6 km. from the start, there are fantastic views of the Triglav and all the adventure that remains until reaching its summit, past the refuge will come a couple of cables that are passed without more, without equipment. We arrive at the Dom Planika refuge, the most mythical in the area, some photos, a bar, some nuts and we continue to face the long journey through the rock and the beautiful ridge, we put on the harness, helmet and the anchor bag.
There are no complicated sections if you are used to the mountains, the entire ridge is well equipped with cable, steel handrails and some supports for the hands in the more vertical steps. Going up we do not get to use the anchor bag, grab a cable all the more.
From the top the views are spectacular on all sides, it is a very beloved mountain for Slovenians so many people climbed that day.
For the descent at some points if we use the anchor bag, the rock is sometimes very smooth, slippery and it is better to be sure.
It took us a little more than 14 hours, since we stopped for breakfast on the way, at the Don Planika refuge we enjoyed ourselves, we spent more than an hour at the summit, we ate at the Dom Planika refuge on the way down, and later a beer at the refuge Vodnikov, we tried to enjoy the mountain to the fullest and we went slowly. Normally without these long stops, it can be done in about 11 hours.
A lovely climb with a mountain top vibe.

Hola,
