IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS IS A CLIMBING OR MOUNTAINEERING ROUTE, NOT A HIKING ROUTE!
Long and demanding route to ascend to the maximum height of the Slovenian mountains, in the Julian Alps. Without a doubt, this summit of Triglav is the most desired by all the inhabitants of this beautiful country, which means that its summit is always very crowded.
It can be accessed from a multitude of valleys and it is normal to take advantage of one of the many refuges that populate the area to make its ascent smoother and shorter, but we prefer to do it during the day from below, which made us have to overcome a considerable unevenness which was around 2100m.
We left the car next to Kovinarska Koča, a pleasant and quiet accommodation in this beautiful and lonely Krma Valley, which is reached by a narrow track, in reasonable good condition for normal vehicles. You can continue up the valley and park in the last car parks (reducing about 3 or 4 km from the route between the round trip), but these can be very crowded depending on the season.
In itself, the route is not more difficult than walking sometimes on stony paths until we reach the Dom Planika Refuge, where we will have to face the last most demanding section of the route, to gain height due to the walls and the stony rope that will give access to the top of Triglav. This part of the excursion is fully equipped with cables and a whole framework of irons that facilitate progression, especially on the descent (especially if the terrain is wet). Even so, almost all of this final section could be done without so much junk, although it makes the task much easier for many daring and inexperienced mountaineers who yearn to reach the highest peak in Slovenia. This last point implies that we are going to find a multitude of people without any ease and in many cases totally blocked in many steps and we are going to have to arm ourselves with patience and have enough time, that here our physical form or our domain will serve us little since we will have to wait yes or yes. The views from the summit if the day allows it, of course, are spectacular and vast.
From the Konjsko Sedlo Pass (at about 2000m) we made a small circular route, going up behind the Triglav (through the valley to the east of it) and then down to the south. The rest of the route was all linear.

Buenas!

Recomendable.
Gracias Kike por tu valoración y comentarios!
