Classic among the classics. Magnificent ridge between the Meal Dearg and Sgor Nam Fiannaidh peaks.
We leave from one of the parking lots next to the road, near the beginning of the path that will take us, in continuous ascent that will not leave us a moment of respite and that already makes it clear why this is what the Scots call it "scramble" (or climbed).
The views, if you are lucky enough to find no fog or too many clouds in general, a scarce gift in these lands, are incredible. Highlighting the Ben Nevis to the north and the lakes to the east and south.
The crest is magnificent, very funny and with just difficulty to enjoy it without having a hard time (excluding those who suffer from vertigo, of course;).
Once Sgor Nam Fiannaidh is finished, we can continue west, following a path that would take us to Glencoe or, as I chose, take left (south) and head towards the famous Clenaig Tavern, where we can make a technical stop to refuel with a good pint and some foot of those that offer (the one of meat is very rich).
We only have to go around the car through the beautiful valley of the Loch Achtriochtan once we reach the A82 road, which we can totally avoid following a path that goes to the right of it.
Cool!! For a reason it is a classic ...
