Itinerary description
Summit day of the Colera camp, at 6,000m. Very difficult day, started at 4:00 am. A very steep start until the last camp, Independencia. After that point, a long wind crossing begins with only one protection point in the middle. A large stone where you can rest and hydrate. Double boots are required. Crampons, perhaps (because it depends on the conditions of the terrain on the day), in "canaleta". At the beginning of this three-hour climb from this point, there is a large cave called "Cueva". Get some rest here, get hydrated and eat something for the last and most difficult part. It is normal to get -15 ° C on the summit on a sunny summer day.
