We started the climbing at 9:30 AM from the camp (3700m) and reached the summit in 5 hours. and returned in 3.5 hours. there is no serious challenge in the way, and all the way marked by little orange flags in 50 numbers, and you gain elevation soon and easily, hence I evaluated Sabalan summit as relatively an easy track. It's very famous and prevalent to see bears in the Sabalan region, from the Shriven valley to the top of the mountain, they seems to be tame during the summer season and take their foods around people and camps, but I heard from native that they could be very dangerous in cold seasons. Altogether, humans have threatened their lives.

**** THE LAKE IS REALLY SCENIC ! ****
Specially at the point of the summit and other altitudes above it.
Deep fresh cold water, at the third highest elevation in Iran.
I love it and hope to remain intact for human and animals around there.
The water temperature (+8 to +10 ºC at the time I swam) was colder than Dariyouk lake (3650m, near Koloon bastak summit), and warmer than Kholeno lake (3818m, near Kholeno peak), in the same season. The coldest one was Kholeno lake (+5º C in the same season) (maybe because it flows from the springs to the river).

Photography tips:
- Don't forget a polarized filter and a wide angel lens to capture the lake.
- Keep the batteries warm (for example in your gloves or under you garment) in cold weather. You need them until the end of the trip.
- Taking photos of people with the lake, you may line to put the snows in the background.
